For wedding music the sweet, soothing melodies of the harp are pleasant to the ear and enhance the reflections of this special moment to the bride and groom and their guests. Working as a soloist of with her trio UNIQUE, Barbara’s music offers a widely diversified repertoire, from Billy Joel to Beethoven. Because of Florida’s favorable climate, her services are in demand for out-of-door events such as weddings, dedications or concerts. Barbara may be heard in performances as a single or with her trio UNIQUE at various country clubs, hotels, restaurants and society benefits and grand openings. Barbara O'Brien, HarpistBarbara O'Brien is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree from the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Muisc. She served as a Music Educator for seventeen years in the public schools of Plainville, Connecticut. In 1978 Barbara moved to Florida, entered the University of South Florida for post-graduate study on the harp and developed a new career in Florida performing regularly as a soloist or in concert with other musicians.
